If you are a complete beginner, then Google Cloud isn’t something you should be looking at until you have some experience in running your own server. The best place to start is with a decent web hosting service such as WP Engine, Flywheel or Media Temple. All of these services will give you basic hosting as well as regular backups and easy-to-use control panels to manage your website. Even if they don’t offer automatic security updates, they all allow you to set up simple rules that make it easy for your website to access things like SSL certificates. Your next step should be installing WordPress on your site using either an installer tool or by following our guide on how to download and install WordPress manually. Once you’ve done that, then take a look around our site for more tips and tricks on how to improve your website!
